Tour de France 2010 / 3 July / Prologue Rotterdam
This year the Tour started in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) with a prologue of 8,9 kilometres. Fabian Cancellara (SAX) was the fastest rider with a speed average of 53 kilometres per hour. The Lampre riders (picture) were warming up with four riders side by side.
Cadel Evans (BMC) is ready for another Tour de France. He’s a favorite for the yellow jersey together with Alberto Contador (AST), Lance Armstrong (RSH), Denis Menchov (RAB) and the Schleck brothers (SAX). On the other hand, the rider who’s going to win this year’s Tour could also be an outsider.
Tour de France = Thomas Voeckler (BTL)
Robert Gesink is one of the eight Dutch riders who got to start the Tour in their own country. Gesink rides for Team Rabobank, just like Lars Boom, Koos Moerenhout, Bram Tankink and Maarten Tjallingii. Karsten Kroon (BMC), Martijn Maaskant (Garmin) and Niki Terpstra (Milram) complete the list.
